Dear Mr. Michael W. Fisher Member of the board Subject: Commendation and Appreciation of the staff
Mr. Fisher, I truly appreciate your patience and help these past weeks in regards to finalization of my Trust. The Time and Patience were/are more appreciated than you can ever know. Now I know why my association in person and/or via phone/mail with your staff and company is far, far superior than any business experience(s) I have been associated with in my 66 years.
Without going into too many details, I'm a "type A" individual used to doing "things my way", and have been particularly independent these past 23 years. I started planning for my retirement from the State of California (34 years total State service) in the late 90's that was escalated to 2000 instead of 2002+. I had spent some time attending various retirement programs/seminars in Sacramento to acquaint myself with my future new life and have my "ducks in a row." Unfortunately several major health issues escalated my plants to retire at 63, and had to change my retirement status in 2000.
One major issue I faced was what decisions to make/do re "Last Wishes and 'Will'," for me. Frankly, several retirement programs I attended did provide some information that was useful, but not satisfying to my particular living style/needs, and too costly. In fact one particular program almost made me feel like a bovine in a cattle car so to speak (get em' in, get em' out)*. By happenstance, I later saw your company's Advertisement in my new (senior) neighborhood's local paper. Luckily, there was room to attend when I called for the May 7, 2003 course at Elk Grove.
Mr. Markee was the instructor. Hold on to him!!! He's Gold!!! His patience, clarity, and individual attention were far, far more than I've seen in other instructors (regardless of subject). He spent considerable additional time in answering our (my) questions even after the class was over. His style of instruction developed an overall picture that brought the whole package together in a sensible and cohesive package. It wasn't just for the "have's" and "have not's" that so decidedly split the earlier programs that I had attended. (i.e., stocks, bonds, IRA's, etc.)
And of course, over the following months, (due to the bad divorce my older son was going through), I was at first reluctant to develop any legal paper work in case I would again have to go through changes regarding inheritance issues- now resolved, thankfully. You see, I've worked too long and too hard to let everything slip away.
Several times I had to call the office with some personal question(s) or another. Debbie ( I don't know her last name) was explanatory and very, very careful in fielding my questions herself or connecting me with the proper person. Never, never showing any impatience with me. Unknown to her and others, I had had a brain aneurysm/major surgery 3 year earlier that affected my memory area to some degree (much, much better now). So I beleive I may have rephrased my question(s) sometimes to grasp the answer. Debbie, thank you, thank you for your patience and for being you. You are indeed an angel.
And finally, but not least, when I called and told her of my current medical issues, she escalated my meeting date with Mr. Willis for finalizing my Trust with explanations, signatures, and required notary services. He did all the finalizations/etc., the following day even though he had others scheduled, yet he never once showed any impatience, and was professional and courteous throughout the whole process. Thank you Stewart.
I'm certain there are other staff members that helped behind the scenes, so to speak; please let them know how appreciated they are, and I apologize for not listing their names.
For someone who has seen/been through many of life's positives, and unfortunately many negatives, it is so, so appreciated that there is a company that has high minded, gentle souls that beleive in "Do unto others and you would have done unto your self(vs.)". If there is ever a special award in businesses such as yours, you and your staff should receive the highest.
At peace in soul and mind, and so grateful.... Thank you Patricia Schrader Sacramento, CA
*of my 34 years with the State, I was directly and indirectly involved with training programs statewide (Dept. of Justice(4), Dept. of Personnel Administration(6), and lastly, Board of Corrections(14) for approximately 25, 26 years, and truly know the different types of training.
Dear Toby:
I have been to many seminars on "Living Trusts", "Concepts of Trusts", "Wills", Etc. And the Seminar was by far the most informative, personal seminar that I have ever attended!!
I have told my friends, business and relatives about the "Seminar that Sold Me" by Mr. David Markee.
Thank you all !!!-
Sincerely, James R. Lyons Mill Valley, CA
Dear Mr. Gerson:
We received our trust on September 2, 2002. It was delivered by a very professional person. We are, so far, very pleased with the product.
It was early in September that I first contacted Denise to find out more about the trust offered by American Family Legal Centers. From the very first contact with Denise to the very last conversation with her, we have been treated with respect, professionalism and courtesy. Her attitude was "how can I serve you in a way that best fits your needs?" She was accommodating and knowledgable.
You can feel assured that Denise is representing you as you would want to be represented. You are fortunate to have her in your employment.
Sincerely yours, LuAnn and Rick Coe
Dear Counselor [Michelle Perry]
I was very impressed with your presentation at the Elks in Port Orange on 1/10/02. Concise, detailed, accurate, professional, knowledgeable and to the point.
I am partial to the phrase, "someone has to take the point" which has military connotations. Take a second to ask any of your male coworkers what that phrase means, preferably someone with prior military experience. I beleive it epitomizes your informative seminars. If anyone should inquire, it's compliments of the "coach" from Ponce Inlet.
I'm anxious to complete the necessary paperwork to initialize a revocable living trust. I wish you continued health and success thruoght 2002. Thank you for your attention, advice and expertise. May God Bless.
Sincerely, Richard J. Esterly Ponce Inlet, FL
P.S. If you can't obtain a satisfactory explanation of "someone's got to take the point", I would be eager to advise at (...........@juno.com)

Attn Mr. Michael W. Fisher National Community Service Director
Sir;
We take great pleasure in writing this letter to commend Attorney Michelle Perry on the excellent presentation that she put forth at the American Legion Post at St. Pete Beach, FL on June 26, 2002.
She was very presentable and spoke with great enthusiasm about the package.
She answered every question she could or referred us to where we could call to get the correct information on a particular point or on other subjects pertaining to the Revocable Living Trust.
She has to be good, as she sold us and at least four other couples that were there.
Respectfully, Mr. and Mrs. Voight C. Thompson
Dear Attorney Gerson,
I just wanted to thank you for all the good work you did on our trust. We are so impressed with the total package. We also were very pleased with Cliff Ricketson who delivered the trust to us and notarized it.
He was so professional & astute and pleasant and was very good at explaining things to us. It is so nice to deal with people who are good at what they do and are at the same time friendly and helpful as Cliff Ricketson and yourself.
We have such a good feeling about the whole transaction from first meeting you on the phone and you being so generous with your time to receiving the trust. You may use me as a reference is you wish.
Thank you again, Gloria Berman
Mr. Fisher,
My wife & I were both very impressed with the presentation & assistance provided by Mr. Willis. Mr. Willis went "above & beyond" with his assistance of our estate.
Please commend him for a "job well done." Mr. Willis is an asset to your organization.
A Very Satisfied Customer, R. Durbin
Dear Mr. Fisher
We recently finished our Trust transaction with your company and are very pleased with the results. Jon Magoch was the seminar presenter and also the representative that visited our home here in AZ.
We learned a lot from Jon through this process and feel at ease knowing that our estate is taken care of and that our daughters will have no difficulty settling our estate when the time comes.
Jon answered all our questions and we feel the price is well worth the service. We were impressed with how in-depth the trust addressed every issue we had. We would be happy to recommend your services to friends, neighbors and family.
Wade and Crystal Erickson, Chino Valley, AZ
"Mr. Michael Nahas did a fine job educating us through the seminar. Terri, who came to our home was great..."
